Falling for Books!

Falling for Books Flyer
I love Fall, just when the heat starts to seem a bit unbearable we get this beautiful little break, a sigh of relief.  The air starts to cool but a warm breeze lingers and then you feel it coming: pumpkins and leaves and hay bales; warm cookies, hot chocolate, and pie.  Ahhh, it is a wonderful time of year, this transition of seasons.  I also love helping people find books in Autumn.  Children are back in school, Christmas is coming up, and people in general seem to me more generous and giving.  As a local business, this means a lot.

Build a Library Baby Shower

Looking for a fun and unique themed baby shower?  A couple of months ago I hosted a one for my lovely cousin.  She is having her 4th boy and we wanted to celebrate the new little fellas arrival.  After 3 kids already, she had many of the necessary baby items, so we had a  Build a Library baby shower.  This worked out famously since I’m a consultant for Usborne books (a children’s book publishing company) so guests could buy off a wish list on my book store or directly from my inventory.  On top of that she also got more free books since I made her the hostess of the party.  The mom-to-be wanted a “Once Upon a Time” theme (yay!)  I wanted things to feel a bit manly, yet whimsical.  The invites turned out SO cute!
